Hey there my fellow travel enthusiasts and welcome to my post where we will check out my 10 best golf courses in Las Vegas to ride the buggy round this year. In fact, there are so many absolutely fantastic golf courses to play in Las Vegas that I have lost count of the ones I have missed putts on a long time ago. And this of course does make it a little hard to pick just 10 however in my experience, there is so much to do that in the time you do have, you want to hit up the best courses while you can.

Best Golf Courses in Las Vegas
Ok, so here are some of the best, some I have been lucky enough to play, and others not – mainly due to the cost – but anyway, let’s have a look:
1. Shadow Creek Golf Course
Shadow Creek Golf Course is a premier golfing destination located in North Las Vegas. Owned by MGM Resorts International, this public course was designed by Tom Fazio and established in 1990 and spans 7,560 yards with a par of 72, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience for golfers.

With a history of hosting prestigious events, including The Match: Tiger vs. Phil and the PGA Tour’s CJ Cup, Shadow Creek is a must-visit for golf enthusiasts.
Course Details
- Length: The course measures 7,560 yards (6,910 meters), making it one of the longer courses available to the public.
- Design: Redesigned in 2008 by Tom Fazio, the course now includes a 7-acre short game facility, enhancing the playing experience.
- Signature Holes: The entire course is known for its meticulous design and the challenge it presents to golfers.
Amenities
Shadow Creek offers top-notch amenities, including a state-of-the-art short game facility added during the 2008 redesign. As part of MGM Resorts International, golfers can expect exceptional service and facilities beyond the golfing experience.
Green Fees and Access
- Green Fees: Historically, Shadow Creek was known for its $500 green fee, positioning it among the most expensive public courses.
- Access Requirements: The course is open to a limited number of guests from MGM hotels, reflecting its exclusive nature.
To be honest, this is one that I couldn’t afford – even though I was staying at a MGM resort. The concierge did tell me how spectacular this course is so I guess I will have to take his word for it.

2. TPC Las Vegas Golf Course
TPC Las Vegas, formerly known as TPC at The Canyons, is a prestigious 18-hole golf course nestled in the Summerlin community of western Las Vegas, Nevada. Established in 1996, this public course was designed by Bobby Weed with consultation from tour professional Raymond Floyd.
As part of the PGA Tour’s Tournament Players Club network, TPC Las Vegas has hosted the Las Vegas Senior Classic on the Champions Tour from 1994 to 2001 and is recognized for its challenging layout. It has also been featured in video games, such as the PS1 version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001.

Bali Hai Golf Club boasts a range of high-end amenities, including:

These amenities ensure a comfortable and luxurious golfing experience, complementing the beautiful course conditions.
Green Fees and Access
Like most courses, green fees are adjusted based on the time of year however they are a little on a pricey side.
Reviews suggest that while the course offers a premium experience, some golfers feel the fees might reflect more on the location and amenities than the course difficulty or uniqueness itself. In my experience, I would have to agree here. Don’t get me wrong, the course is really quite good and so close to the strip you can probably play a hand at Mandalay Bay in between nines as well.

Now we come to one of my absolute favorites in the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. This is a premier golfing destination located just 25 minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip that features three magnificent championship golf courses, all designed by the World Golf Hall of Fame architect Pete Dye.

As I have said, this one is my non-negotiable must play in Vegas with a challenging, breathtaking scenery, and top-notch amenities. And for what you get to play on, the green fees are very reasonable as well.

This is another really good one and one I would put on the list for sure.
7. Las Vegas National Golf Club
Las Vegas National Golf Club, situated less than 10 minutes from the iconic Las Vegas Strip, offers a classic and traditional 18-hole championship golf course. This 18-hole championship course, redesigned by the legendary architect Tom Fazio and his son Logan Fazio, stands as the only casino resort course in Las Vegas.

This course is exclusive beyond exclusive and allows members and select guests onto its tees only – which sadly, I was not one of. If you have the contacts, let me know how it plays below.
10. Wolf Creek Golf Course Mesquite
Now, I have drawn rather a long bow with this one as it is located around 80 miles (128km) from Las Vegas. However due to the fact that it is literally carved out of the desert landscape, it is so spectacular that I had to include it here. And as with TPC Las Vegas, it has also been featured in a video game highlighting the fact that the course is a masterpiece that has received widespread acclaim, making it a must-visit for golf enthusiasts.
Signature Holes and Course Experience
After playing all eighteen holes, golfers (including me) often find it challenging to single out just one signature hole, thanks to the course’s overall beauty and design. The picturesque landscape and the strategic layout leave a lasting impression, often overshadowing the scores.
From personal experience however, I will say that standing on the top tee box of the third hole will literally take your breath away.

The course features a driving range and fully stocked pro shop as well as a bar and restaurant.

Look, the last time I played it was post-pandemic and the club house and outside facilities had definitely experienced the toll of the absence of maintenance staff. The course however was still immaculate and really an amazing spectacle to play on.
